Day 3 of 100 - Placement Gyan :)

So as mentioned in the last entry about the clock ticking in a differnt manner, so today I choose to start the details of this day from 12 midnight. Wondering Y?? Just hold on !!!

There is tension in the air all around. You will be wondering, why for me? because one of my friends was the shortlisted candidate for the G**gle process. They were told to wait for call from the company. As the clock struck 1 in the night, this friend of mine is tensed. All of us managed to push her to sleep by 2. What you think can happen? Don't push hard. I shall narrate it for you. I am working on my assignment( disadvantage of accepting PPO) calmly, listening to music. There comes the MAIL !!!! The much awaited mail of the day. 12. 12. yes I mean 12 people got placed. A dozen !!!! Can u imagine???? Well keep this thought aside. The friend of mine is placed. We wish her (won't disclose the entire episode here, because this blog is not about me).

Anyways, I have lectured to attend during the day and which I managed to attend. I did bunk two managing to get attendance for the second lecture. This prof of ours is an IIM-L alumni. So, he definitely has some gyan to give :) Check out the video and I would say yes a gyan we all should keep in our mind at any given time.

Don't Doubt yourself  :) Go on, you have the potential to win the world  !!! Take wise decisions.

Day 2 of 100 - G**Gle makes u do Salsa

I guess the title makes it pretty obvious about the company which visits the campus today. For the shortlisted people, the day started at 9:15 in the morning and i would say went on till 1 in the night(not literary). The details can't be shared here, but yeah an exhausting day it was, not for me !! Of course ;)   I haven't mentioned, I am done with the season as I choose the easy way out. Don't wonder what happened. Simple ! I accepted the PPO from the company with which I did my summer internship. haha !!!

The PPO gives me s**t loads of free time to play around with. You all must be wondering whether I attend classes or not. Let me tell you, I am one of those honest students who gets guilt feeling for bunking my classes. So no, I am not missing my classes. It is just that they are hardly any classes in a day.

I had two classes today in between I managed to snuggle in to auditorium where the probable G**gle candidates are assembled.

So 9:30 P.M. I go for my salsa classes which a junior conducts twice in a week. Once the mentor said, a true salsa class is one where boys are more in number as compared to girls. This held true for today's class. Since it has been almost two months we have been leaning salsa, today the floor was open for dancing. All the girls were busy on the floor with boys having nothing to do. They decide to pair up and have their set of fun. Watch it and enjoy yourself :)

I guess this is where I will close today's entry with one thing to clarify in the early stage itself.

Traditionally, after 4 it is a new day, but in my Alma mater the clock works in a bit different fashion. A day starts post noon and ends at 5 in the morning. So sometimes there might be a confusion regarding what time of the day I am referring to, I will try my level best to clarify at any given point.

This day ended with giving the result of G**gle, which I shall disclose in next entry :) till then FIN !!

Day 1 of 100

The first day of the journey I wish to travel in next 100 days living in my Alma mater. I choose not to disclose the name of my Alma mater at this point of time.

The final year placement season commences today with first company X visiting the campus. Early morning campus is alive. After all 160 people are suppose to be in auditorium before the deadline. In between this hustle and bustle, I am up and getting ready. I am walking from washroom to my room doing morning chores. I see is a golden color cone stuck on my door. Ahhh !!! What is this ? How is it there?
It struck me. A gesture by our juniors to wish us luck for the tough times that lie ahead. After a while I came to know there are banners everywhere full of wishes from PGP-1 to PGP-2

One good reason to pause, breathe and smile :)

Now, step towards auditorium to take on the world !!!
